Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together the dry ingredients: 1/2 cup cocoa powder, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1/4 cup all-purpose flour.
- Gradually pour in 2 cups of milk, whisking continuously to prevent lumps from forming.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a gentle boil, about 5-7 minutes.
- Once thickened, remove from heat and stir in 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until well combined.
