- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg
For the Filling:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup melted butter
For the Glaze:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: Combine warm milk and yeast in a bowl. Let it sit until frothy. Mix in sugar, butter, salt, egg, and flour until a dough forms. Knead for 8–10 minutes, then let it rise for 1–2 hours.
- Roll and Fill: Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread melted butter over the surface and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Roll the dough tightly and cut into 12 pieces.
- Make the Glaze: In a saucepan, melt butter, brown sugar, and heavy cream until smooth. Pour the glaze into a baking dish and add pecans if desired.
- Assemble and Bake: Place the buns on top of the glaze. Let them rise for another 30 minutes, then bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes.
- Serve: Invert the baking dish onto a plate to coat the buns with glaze. Serve warm.
Notes
