Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pieces Chicken thighs or breasts
- 1/2 cup Orange juice
- 2 tablespoons Lime juice
- 3 Garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together orange juice, lime juice, minced garlic, olive oil, cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
- Marinate the Chicken: Place chicken pieces in a zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for deeper flavor.
- Cook the Chicken: For grilling, preheat grill to medium heat and cook chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until it reaches 165°F (74°C). For baking, preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway. For pan-searing, heat a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and cook for about 6 minutes per side.
- Serve and Enjoy: Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with fresh cilantro and lime wedges.
Notes
Use fresh citrus juices for best flavor. Always check chicken with a meat thermometer to ensure it’s cooked through.
